Homemade Granola: A Guilt-Free Treat for Your Sweet Tooth

Who says satisfying your sweet tooth has to mean reaching for processed snacks?

This homemade granola is crunchy, naturally sweetened, and packed with wholesome ingredients. It's the perfect guilt-free treat when you're craving something sweet without refined sugar.

Enjoy it sprinkled over Greek yogurt for a delicious breakfast, paired with fresh berries, or simply grab a handful for an easy, on-the-go sweet treat!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats (certified gluten-free if needed)

  • 1 cup*  chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans AND pumpkin seeds (my fav is a mixture of all) *A TOTAL of 1 cup, not a cup of each.

  • 1 cup dried cranberries or blueberries (or Mixture of both)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ cup organic coconut oil

  • ⅓ cup organic maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Combine oats, nuts, dried fruit (if using), and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Melt coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat. Whisk in maple syrup and vanilla until combined.

  4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until evenly coated. Spread into a thin, even layer on your baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt.

  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until lightly golden. Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking it into crunchy clusters.

A Little Wellness Reminder

Healthy eating doesn't have to mean giving up the foods you love. It's about finding balance, enjoying nourishing ingredients, and creating habits that are sustainable.

This granola contains no refined sugar when made with unsweetened dried fruit, although maple syrup and sweetened dried fruit still contribute sugar.

Because wellness isn't about restriction. It's about making choices that nourish your body while still enjoying life.

The magic is in the work you're trying to avoid.
